I am a 22-year-old college student. I attend Ohio University and am gearing up for my entrance into the "real world" in May (whatever that means).

I major in public relations, with specializations in business and economics. I am a proud member of E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at OU. I am by all means a word nerd.

I interned in New York City last spring and took a photo with Matt Lauer during a live taping of the TODAY Show. I try to show that picture off whenever a situation seems even semi-appropriate. 

Like now.

My passions are health and fitness, creative writing and social media. Retweets and likes make my day. I also enjoy playing with puppies that do not belong to me.

Working out is my favorite pastime. (Please don't judge me.) I like running. (Again, don't judge me.) When I'm not in the running mood, I hit the gym for a moderately intense elliptical session. I squeeze bodyweight strength training in that mix, too.

I have been a vegetarian for nine years. I also recently cut gluten almost entirely out of my diet. I listen to my body. I eat natural foods because they give me energy and keep me smiling. Although, I am an ardent supporter of dessert.

I think laughter brings people together. It always has a place in my world.

Life is about balance, and I am working to find and maintain mine. This blog is a catch-all for the thoughts, opinions and stories I encounter along the way. I apologize in advance for the rambling that may ensue.
